Blocks Solicitors provide legal advice and services from their three offices based in Ipswich and Felixstowe. They have been
serving both commercial and private clients in East Anglia for over 125 years.
BMS IT Solutions have been working with Blocks for over 2 years and in September last year we successfully completed a SQL 2005 Server migration for their core business platform. During the installation it became apparent that Blocks’ existing Exchange 2000 solution wasn’t providing the platform their business model required.
Because BMS are Microsoft Exchange Specialists, Blocks were able to benefit from our technical expertise. Due to the lack of
support for Exchange 2007, BMS opted to install Exchange 2003 using the downgrade option. By implementing this version, Blocks benefit from an industry standard email solution with the additional aspect of future proofing. When BMS are happy with the service pack and support for 2007 Blocks will be able to upgrade and take advantage of the additional benefits in 2007.
BMS installed the Exchange solution on a Hewlett Packard Proliant ML Server. This industry leading server comes equipped with dual processors and dual sets of hard disk drives, providing total data protection.
