Anglia labels
Anglia Labels are a long-established manufacturer of self adhesive labels based in Acton, Suffolk.
Like many businesses who used Windows NT4 server software, Anglia Labels were aware the product was at the end of its life-cycle and would no longer be supported by Microsoft. A cost-effective upgrade solution was required and as BMS are Microsoft Certified Partners, Anglia Labels were keen to discuss their requirements with us.
The upgrade path for a business of Anglia Label’s size is Microsoft Small Business Server 2003 (SBS 2003). SBS 2003 is an advanced IT solution designed to help companies protect their data, do more with less, and connect with customers like never before.
It provides small businesses with many of the features used by large companies – e-mail, internet connection, internal websites, remote access, support for mobile devices, file and printer sharing, backup and restore – all in one affordable, integrated solution.
Anglia Labels needed a robust computing platform on which to manage internal scheduling services, client communications and a third-party accounting application.
By upgrading from NT4 to Small Business Server 2003, Anglia Labels got a complete client-server environment in a single integrated business solution.
BMS implemented Small Business Server as well as new Windows XP desktop machines with the minimum of disruption to staff, making use of the evenings to ensure downtime was minimal. The installation went smoothly and now Anglia Labels have a scalable, secure, future-proofed solution that will help them move their business forward.
