Based in Haverhill, Suffolk, D. Gurteen & Sons is a family business and one of the best-known names in the UK clothing market.
When BMS first approached Gurteen, their existing email setup no longer suited their requirements. The system was not localised, it could not be backed up, had few configuration options and was not flexible or scalable.
BMS suggested a Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 solution for its groupware functionality, centralised backup, stability and scalability.
Exchange Server 2003 is the latest version of Microsoft’s industry-leading communications server. It provides many new features and enhancements to improve reliability, manageability, and security.
Exchange Server 2003 helps IT to deliver the service levels and capabilities demanded by the end user while helping organisations to reduce their total cost of ownership through areas such as server and site consolidation.
During installation we identified some Microsoft replication issues when installing additional domain controllers. However, as Certified Microsoft Partners, we were able to escalate this problem with Microsoft and were able to find a solution with minimum disruption.
